About

I am a woman married to a man who has been addicted his whole life. Addicted first to food, then to prescription drugs, then to alcohol — and at times all three. I am also a mother and a self-proclaimed writer. This blog is my anonymous attempt to sort out all that goes on in my head. And maybe along the way find some people who can relate.

What I discovered in Al-Anon, was that even after my marriage to the alcoholic couldn’t be saved (infidelity on his part, unbearable for me) I still kept going to meetings. I found peace, and a way to deal with life in general, that helps me to stay serene.
It may sound a bit jargony at first, but there are good spiritual principles there for the taking – if you keep going to meetings, you will find help. It’s so true.
Feel free to email me if you need to talk about it
    take care,
    Cheryl
